Teignmouth and Brixham
We had a day out in the car today taking in two Devon seaside places we have never visited before. Teignmouth was first and we parked right on the front. I had an ice cream while we took a walk down the promenade of the smart seaside town. It seemed to be much more like a traditional resort with B&Bs and a nice estuary with leisure boating activity and a historic ferry. Rosemary bought some Christmas cards from the lifeboat station. Next we went down to Brixham, which is England's busiest fishing port where we had a light lunch at Rockfish overlooking the working harbour. Certainly plenty of choice of real fish restaurants without tacky gift shops. We parked in the long stay carpark by the the wholesale fish market and sailing club.
We had an early reservation for dinner at the Michelin listed Galley restaurant back in Topsham and enjoyed some excellent seafood.
