Roemin abit

We are off to the Costa del Sol for a week of sun, prawns and relaxation on Friday, Brexit day. So its Jet2.com from East Midlands to Malaga and then on to the Melia at Torremolinos.

A more sedate start at 8:00am to return home. Stopped at chocolate factory in Belgium and a Booze Cruise cash and carry just outside the port at Calais before boarding the P and O ferry. We caught the 2 oclock ferry and had a cooked lunch on board. The coach arrived back in Leicester just before 7 oclock and and we were at home by 7:30. The Nottingham contingent arrived home at about 9:pm.

The bus went back into Amsterdam on new year's Day where a canal cruise had been arranged by Skills. It was a cold and misty/atmospheric experience gliding past some of the the grande canalside houses, including Anne Franks. Terminated by a big bump as we arrived back at the jetty. We warmed up in a hotel bar and had a snack before a gentle walk to the red light district. We had an entertaining stroll round the gift shops and bought a few cannabis related cakes, cookies and mints. Rosemary obtained some samples of the cookies, but they did not seem to work The last meal was enjoyed in the restaurant again and we all had an earlier night to recover from the late night.
